Paklay School is a small school located in Kang village, Paklay district, Xayabouly province, about 200 km from the center of Vientiane capital with 5 hours by car. The school has 7 teachers with 54 kindergarten children and 56 primary school students. The school’s facilities are still deficient, with only 3 classrooms for all students. Due to a lack of classrooms, the school had to place kindergarten and primary school kids in the same room.

The effort to construct a separate place for kindergarten children has been underway since 2018, with the contribution of local people and teachers. Nevertheless, the project had to be stopped after completing the foundation and purchasing some construction materials due to a lack of money.

Faced with these difficulties, the SEN charity has decided to sponsor to complete that project, which includes the construction of a kindergarten with 3 classrooms to provide the finest educational environment for both students and teachers.
The project officially started construction on February 28, 2023, and is expected to be completed at the end of April 2023.
