Opening ceremony of Khe Det Kindergarten – Son La

Khe Det auxiliary-kindergarten is located in Khe Det hamlet, Phong Du Thuong commune, Van Yen district, Yen Bai province with 47 students from 3 to 5 years old, 02 classrooms, 02 teacher rooms in wooden, 1 toilet have deteriorated and not guaranteed for learning conditions, is cold in the winter and hot in the summer. There is no grid system on this auxiliary-kindergarten and the water system is not enough, especially in the dry season.

With the consent of the local authorities and the school, Sen Charity has raised funds and built a new school for Khe Det auxiliary-kindergarten to help teachers and students to have a better learning environment. The project includes 2 new classroom with an area of ​​35m2  per class, a row of toilets including 4 toilets, 01 hand-washing area and 02 teacher room (each room is 15m2), 1 kitchen and 1 bathroom, concreting the schoolyard, installing water and solar power systems.

During the construction process, SEN Charity received several of support from the parents who did not hesitate to support the construction of schools and accommodation for teachers. In addition, SEN Charity also received the support of donators who contributed to this project, with the amount of 176,260,000 VND (Total project cost is 616,000,000 VND).

After 3 months of construction and completion, the opening ceremony is organized on September 25, 2019 to handover school to teachers and students.

The opening ceremony was cozy and solemn with the attention from representatives of sponsors, SEN charity and representatives of Van Yen district’s education department, People’s Committee of Phong Du Thuong commune, teachers and students, along with students’ parents and villagers in Khe Det. After the ceremony, the students’ parents told us “This is a dream school” made us in deep feeling.

The friendliness, simplicity and sincerity of the local people, as well as the warm welcome of the local leaders, the kindergarten teachers and the joy on the faces of the students help them strengthening the power as well as proud of contribution for people here.

“Given things are limited, but gained things will be infinite.” We have received a lot of things from this trip, it is the affection, the eyes full of faith and hope, the smile of satisfaction on the lips and warm hugs. All of them help us build up our enthusiasm for the journey to new lands, where we continue to give away to receive more.
