During this tough time, Saigon so much pain and loss of people and property. The more dangerous viruses are spreading quickly, the more “love viruses” are constantly multiplying and proliferating everywhere. During more than 2 months of joining hands with Ho Chi Minh City, SEN Charity not only accompanies the frontline medical team in hospitals but also supports needy households who are affected by COVID-19.
On a sunny morning, we had gathered team at Office to pack our little SEN bags filled with love from SEN Charity & team, (each bag’s weight is about >12.5 KG). We’re loaded 300 SEN bags on cars.
Weaving into each alley, we find difficult situations, people staying, unemployed people, people with disabilities, they are greatly affected by the epidemic. Feel the opposite situation of Saigon for 20 years of experience and understanding.
Saigonese are identified as quick, cheerful, hard-working, they rarely think that someday they need someone’s help. However, COVID-19 brought unexpected things happen. When we came to give gifts to households in Thu Duc, one of needy household in list had just passed away due to COVID-19. Virus is scary when they are “invisible” but the loss is “the main image”.
When we handed over the SEN gift bags, we came across images of self-consciousness, avoidance and a bit of bewilderment that made us pause. Make us realize that although our sharing is an opening, for them it is still a deadlock.
Thanks to everyone for help, and there were 2 cars, sharing 4 routes in 4 directions of SGN – District 12, Nha Be, Binh Hung Hoa, Binh Duong, we accomplished to hand 300 aid packages to 300 less-privileged households to overcome this tough time.
We’ve already earned 300 more points of love! Who can “state” this love!
