Sponsore a playground and medical equipment – Quang Nam

Many children living in the mountain areas have less than ideal conditions for studying and living as well as a lack of facilities to play, and consequently live at a disadvantage. Understanding this, on July 2017 when the Microtec team went to Dong Giang district in order to survey for charity plans in 2018, we decided to build a new playground for the Huong Duong Kindergarten in Pachepalanh village, Ma Cooih commune. In addition we also donated instruments for the medical center located here.

Located around 80km from Da Nang, Ma Cooih is one of the poor mountain communes in the Dong Giang district, Quang Nam province. The people make a living from planting pulpwood, banana, chili, and rice-plantations in the mountain fields, but the average income of 2-3 million VND per month (even lower in Pachepalanh village) only offers a relatively low standard of living. A large percentage of people here are from the Co Tu ethnic group. During 2006 the Huong Duong kindergarten was constructed by the A Vuong hydroelectric plant corporation, but the facilities are limited with no playground for the pupils. The medical center is also short of essential instruments to help tend to ill people here.

On Friday, December the 7th, 2018 the Da Nang project team traveled over 2.5 hours to Ma Cooih commune, Quang Nam province to carry out the charity work. There was light rain on the way but fortunately, this stopped on our arrival at the distribution points.

The first stop was the Medical Center, where representatives of the Center and thee People’s Committee were very excited to welcome the team. After introductions and intimate chatting, the team donated basic medical equipment for the center with the aim to help improve the living standard. The local representatives expressed their thanks to our boss and the company for the kind donation and useful gifts.

The team then moved to the Huong Duong Kindergarten, which was 5km from the Medical center. Here, they divided into 2 groups to install a television and set up outdoor toys, after which the indoor toys were arranged and gifts were given to the children. The teachers, parents and especially the children were very happy and excited, and the headmistress of the centre emotionally expressed her sincere thanks to our boss and the company. From now on, every school day for the children will be more interesting and joyful, and with the internet television provided, the teachers can now help children to develop their knowledge about the world.

After saying goodbye to the locals, teachers, and to this small lovely school, the team returned again to the city with joy and happiness in reflection of what was a very meaningful trip for all involved.
