“Donate 200 gift bags for poor children in Tay Ninh border” is a Tet bag project implemented by HCM team on last Wednesday, 08 Jan 2020. It located in Hoa Thanh Commune, Chau Thanh District, Tay Ninh Province. It takes 3,5 hours by car, about 120km far from HCMC.
Chau Thanh district is a sizable minority of Khmer people living in the area. The Khmers are mostly farmers who live on the western edge of the district near the Cambodian border. These poor children aged from 3 to 15 years old, some of them go to school, but some do not because they must help family to earn money for daily life. They all have very difficult situation & too poor, even some of them don’t have shoes, uniforms. Understand that, we decided to donate 200 gift bags included Solite cake, candy, Bitis ’shoes and angpao with the hope of bringing joys to children on the occasion of the upcoming New Year.
Children here are very excited when they wear new shoes. We are also happy because of the meaningful project, bringing Tet closer to poor children.
