Located in the Northwest, year-round covered with mist, with layers of rock, Son La is gradually changing day by day.
I had the opportunity to visit Son La 5 years ago, in a chance to experience and explore the northwestern mountains. The image of children wearing a thin ethnic dress, without shoes, running and dancing on the porch of a commune cultural house has made me think a lot. It seems that life here is not affected by money, or by material things. And I thought, don’t know if they’re happy, or they’re worried.

Going back after 5 years, this time I was sent to Son La, not to experience, but to work. This trip does not include laptops, no contracts, only a lot of blankets, mats, candies, school supplies for children. After many months contacting with the teachers, proposing to the management a 2-room kindergarten with its own toilet and corrugated iron roof formed, finally.

This is the effort of so many dedicated people. As scheduled, we presented gifts at a kindergarten site, and attended the handover ceremony of a builted kindergarten. Looking at the innocent smiles of the children, along with the excited faces of the people looking at the new school, along with the new appliances, I was able to answer some of my concern five years ago.

Being human, everyone is pursuing happiness, material things, just an attitude that decides everything. You are satisfied with what you have, although difficult, but for you is enough, you still feel happy.
