During Tet 2018, we visited and gave gifts to 30 poor families, old people, pupils in Thuan Hoa which is the poorest rural commune of Long My Dist, Hau Giang Province. After 6 hours we arrived at the People’s Committee of Thuan Hoa commune, and were taken by surprise that almost all the poor people had waited for our arrival because that was the first time they were receiving gift from a company based in Ho Chi Minh. They were very happy and interested, and as were we, who enjoyed giving gifts, lucky money envelopes and not forgetting to send Tet greetings and encouragement to them!

The houses the people lived in showed their unfortunate state of living, and despite it being Tet, the festivities were limited because people didn’t have enough food. When we gave gifts, they were happy and accepted it gratefully. Some children had tears in their eyes because they never imagined receiving such nice gifts.

The representative of the People’s Committee (vice chairman of the commune) made a speech to everyone, saying that the commune had never received such practical gifts. They also acknowledged and gave their deep appreciation to the company, as they wished BOM to have a successful, healthy and a Happy New Year!
