Currently, Ho Chi Minh City is in its 3rd month of social distancing, the longest “sleep” ever!
The city is so quiet, all shops are closed silently, the lockdown areas have stretched far and wide across the city, and unfortunate homeless people on the streets are desperately trying to stay anywhere they can to maintain a life without work or income. Ho Chi Minh City has been facing a complicated outbreak of the virus with more than 168,000 cases to date and increasing, becoming one of the most affected localities in Vietnam with thousands of new infections and hundreds of deaths each day.

Ambulances carrying coronavirus patients line up in droves, their sirens blaring against the background noise of loudspeakers pumping out announcements and news. This scene continues day and night at the hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City who are increasingly becoming overloaded by new COVID-19 patients.

SEN Charity has responded to the challenge with a campaign “Joining Hands to Fight Against the Covid-19 Pandemic” and has donated urgent medical equipment and supplies to the Le Van Viet Hospital in Thu Duc City. Also present at this site is the relocated Tran Quoc Toan High School and the C9 Man Thien apartment complex to receive and treat over 2,000 Covid-19 patients. 30% of the patients are workers from the industrial zone and high-tech parks.
On 17 Aug 2021, SEN Charity presented to the hospital 3 ICU Monitors, 2 Per fuser Compact devices and B. Braun pumps, and a large quantity of 3M/N95 Face masks and Level 4 Medical Protective Clothing. 1,000 bottles of mineral water and 1,000 boxes of Vitamin C were also supplied and a big Thank You to all staff at the facilities for protecting and saving patient’s lives during. SEN Charity expressed our sincere gratitude to all medical teams, doctors, and support staff on the front lines, the most important team in the ongoing war against COVID-19.

We wish all these teams and their families the best of health and the energy to continue helping patients and Ho Chi Minh City overcome the pandemic soon. Ho Chi Minh City, please get well soon and keep fighting!
