A groundbreaking ceremony of Kenh Ngan Bridge – Dong Thap Province

On the morning of May 6th, 2025, the SEN Charity, in collaboration with the People’s Committee of My An Commune, Thap Muoi District, Dong Thap Province, held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of Kenh Ngan Bridge, connecting My Thi A and My Phu A hamlets.

Kenh Ngan Bridge has a length of 21m, a width of 3.3m, and a load of 2.5 tons. Its total construction cost is VND 320 million with the SEN Charity contributing VND 250 million. The remaining funds are provided through local government matching and contributions from residents, who also generously donated land to widen both sides of the bridge approach.

The event was attended by local authorities and residents.

The project is expected to be completed and put into use within two months. Kenh Ngan Bridge is being built to replace the old, deteriorating structure, ensuring safer and more convenient transportation for local residents. It will play a vital role in facilitating the movement of goods, boosting local socio-economic development, and most importantly, allowing children to travel to school more safely, especially during the rainy season.

The atmosphere was filled with joy and hope, as villagers and students eagerly looked forward to the day their long-awaited new bridge became a reality.
