The Naphongoy Primary School is a small school located in Nakhauy Village, Saysettha District, Vientiane Capital, approximately 12 km from the center of Vientiane and 30 minutes distance travelling by car. There are 60 pupils and 3 teachers who teach 5 classes at the school. Unfortunately, the facilities of the school are limited and there are only 3 classrooms available, with not enough rooms for teaching, and resulting in the teachers having to share rooms for classes. On our initial visit we also noted that the school playground is not yet built and comprised a sand yard with poor drainage that made it difficult for pupils to get to the school in the rainy season. We also found that the school lacked some study equipment, had very old tables and sports equipment, and no hygienic drinking system.
After surveying, we created a plan to improve the school facilities which would first involve building a cement playground for the school and providing new study equipment including study tables and chairs, sports equipment, and replacing the drinking water systems.
We are pleased to announce that the charity project has been successful, and offer our congratulations to Naphongoy Primary School. The students and teachers were very happy to have the new grounds and equipment that were able to be provided. The facilities now look clean and are more convenient for the students, especially during the rainy season. We were very happy to see the shining smiles from the students here when we visited and presented the facilities. In addition, the clean water facilities, table, and glasses, and sports equipment will help the students and offer a healthier life. Students and teachers sent their sincere to SEN Charity for this wonderful and generous activity.
