To promote the tradition of gratitude and the spirit of mutual support and solidarity of the nation, on December 28th, in the bustling atmosphere of the new spring of Wood Snake 2025, SEN Charity organized a meaningful gift-giving event in My Duc District—the poorest district of Hanoi and one of the areas most heavily affected by the recent Typhoon Yagi. Many families in My Duc have lost their homes, livestock, crops, and means of livelihood.
Starting early in the morning, SEN Charity love-filled journey brought warmth to the winter chill of My Duc, gradually replaced by the sunlight of compassion. The gift-giving ceremony was attended by representatives of the SEN Charity, local authorities, students, and elderly individuals living alone (also former youth volunteers).
21 children, shining examples of perseverance in the face of adversity, received brand-new backpacks. Despite losing their parents or shouldering the responsibility of caring for their grandparents, these students have continued to excel academically, earning impressive achievements. By placing these backpacks in their hands, SEN Charity not only supported their educational journey but also kindled hope for a brighter future and a sense of communal solidarity.
19 elderly individuals, all former youth volunteers, came to receive gifts. These individuals had once fought for national independence and contributed to the country’s development. They sacrificed their youth to bring peace to the nation. Now, in their later years, some live alone with no family by their side, while others endure the lasting effects of war, with descendants affected by Agent Orange. The warm blankets gifted to them were not only a gesture of physical comfort but also a heartfelt tribute to their contributions to the country’s history.
In response, representatives of the elderly and local authorities expressed their profound gratitude to SEN Charity. They also encouraged each other to live healthily and meaningfully, while inspiring the younger generation and SEN Charity team to continue striving for success and nurturing a heart dedicated to the community.
The journey concluded, but the smiles and sparkling eyes of the children, as well as the heartfelt nods of appreciation from the elderly, remained deeply imprinted in our hearts. It was a joy born from sharing; a happiness derived from knowing we had helped make someone’s spring more complete. The program “Warm Spring – Shared Tet” truly became a journey of “Sharing Love – Connecting Communities.”
