Chau Thanh district is a sizable minority of Khmer people living in the area. The Khmers are mostly farmers who live on the western edge of the district near the Cambodian border, there is a lot of unexploited farming plains in the area, due to a lack of irrigation infrastructure so they face with many difficulties in live, some of families are farmers, some are transporters of goods to the Cambodian border by motorbike so they have an uncertain income.
These poor children aged from 3 to 15 years old, some of them go to school, but some aren’t because they must help family to earn money for daily life (they even worked as transporter to Cambodian border by motorbike). They all have very difficulf situation & too poor, some of them don’t have shoes, uniforms and even don’t have rice & food in their house where look temporary and dangerous residence.
