Give Gifts to Thu Khoa Huan Orphanage Center – Da Nang

On the morning of 13th July, the Microtec Da Nang office had organized a social activity for employee’s children which included introducing SEN Charity Fund and visiting the Thu Khoa Huan orphanage center in Son Tra, Da Nang. There were five kids from 6 to 15 years old being cheerful to join this event.

The SEN Charity presentation began with us asking questions about Charity.  Although all the children were still very young in age, they were still aware of the common meaning of “Charity”, which is help, sympathy and sharing with people in difficult circumstances, and those around them who need more help. In particular, when watching the presentation of projects that have been and are being implemented by the Sen Charity Fund, the children were very attentive and showed sympathy for difficult circumstances as well as recognizing how lucky they are. It is great that the children have been aware of doing charity in their small daily tasks such as helping their schoolmates, collecting old clothes/books/toys to give to poor students in mountainous areas, etc.

After that we visited the Thu Khoa Huan Orphanage Center to give gifts. This orphanage center is a place that takes care of orphans under 15 months old. It is located in the Son Tra district, which is about 5km from our office and about 20 minutes by motorbike to get there. The center has twelve children who are being cared and nurtured by four Mothers and one center Manager. Although they work in shifts and earn about 4-5 million VND per month, all mothers still wholeheartedly love and care the orphans.

Representatives of the SEN Charity gave gifts for the center including powdered milk, diapers, rubber mattresses and one vacuum cleaner to support Mother’s daily tasks, and also lucky money packets for Mothers as a way to express our deep gratitude to the Mother who taking care of these lovely and pure children.

At first, the children were quite shy, but after a few minutes, they became more active and played with the orphan here. Hopefully, the program will bring many memorable experiences for the kids when they meet and interact with others and orphans at the center. The children will also become aware about the responsibility they have for the community as well as learn a valuable lesson about love and sharing.
