The pandemic outbreak was too fast, greatly affecting the provincial health system and the frontline medical team in the fight against the pandemic. Currently, the number of beds in Kien Giang Hospital is 1800 beds; hospital is treating 1190 COVID-19 patients, of which 42 level 3 patients, 100 children and 15 pregnant patients. Therefore, the hospital had been supported by the medical team from Can Tho and Cho Ray Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City.
Recognizing the hospital’s difficulties, SEN Charity has connected to share and join hands to help the medical team be equipped with safe protective equipment when facing the Covid-19 patient hourly. The Representative of the hospital told us that: “Currently, the medical team is exposed to more than 10 staffs, we all are using medical masks and cloth masks. As you know, in small province, it is very difficult to equip protective equipment of international quality, but during the complicated situation, the equipment is even more difficult. When we receive support from SEN charity, we are so happy and lucky. We would like to express our deep gratitude for this timely support. It’s really precious to all of us at the difficult time!”
When hearing this, we feel both heartwarming and truly grateful to the medical team when they are facing many difficulties day and night.
