On Jul 25th 2024 the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of “Thanh Binh Bridge” was held in village 3, Thuan Hoa commune, Long My district, Hau Giang province.
The old bridge has seriously deteriorated.
The bridge is located at the river connecting to village 3 and 4, Thuan Hoa commune. This is the living area of over 100 households, with more than 70% of them being poor and under living condition. Currently, people cross on old temporary bridge that has severely deteriorated, posing a constant threat to their lives. When it rains and floods, people cannot walk, and children cannot go to school.
One of the bridges was built by the SEN Charity in Tien Giang province (2022).
The Bridge will help people to travel safely, especially during flood season, as well as reduce traffic pressure and boost the local economy. The bridge also has a special meaning, marking the 4th bridge of journey of connecting the community established by SEN Charity.
To carry out this significant project, SEN Charity, in collaboration with BIDV Cash Center to build the bridge with load 2 tons, 3m width, 18m length support 7-seater car travelling. The bridge began construction on July 25, 2024, and is expected to be inaugurated on Sep 5th, 2024, to welcome students to school.
