Joining hands to help Field Hospital No.16 in fighting COVID-19

As part of our program of “Joining hands to help Ho Chi Minh City fight COVID-19”, SEN Charity learned that the No.16 Field Hospital was put into operation at the end of July 2021 with the task of receiving and treating more than 3000 COVID-19 patients.

Although the hospital is fully equipped with medical equipment, with the number of infections increasing daily, the number of medical staff needed to be increased. As part of this mobilization activity, ensuring the safety of frontline doctors against the epidemic would also have to be prioritized in order to protect the operation and make it sustainable.

On the morning of August 17, 2021, SEN Charity donated 1,000 protective costumes each with 8 M22 level 4 protective diaphragms to doctors working at the Hospital with a total value of 232,000,000 VND. The representative of field hospital No. 16 expressed his deep gratitude to the SEN Charity & sponsors who have joined hands to support the medical staff during the stressful period. With greater access to high quality protective equipment, doctors and nurses working at the site will be able to treat many more patients whilst ensuring their own safety in the process.

In the daily news on radio and television we see that Ho Chi Minh City is quiet whilst the number of cases continues to increase, but in the background invisibly the work of charities and support organizations continues. With all of our help, we believe that Saigon will eventually overcome the epidemic, and welcome a return to a new life!
