“Schools for All” campaign kicked off with the construction project of Huoi Hao Kindergarten and Primary School, Ang Toi Commune, Muong Dang District, Dien Bien Province on July 7th, 2023. Following the event, on July 11th, 2023, SEN charity continues to start the construction of Dak Doat Village Kindergarten in Dak Pek Commune, Dak Glei District, Kon Tum Province with the joyfulness and happiness of local people, children, teachers and authorities.
The construction project of the kindergarten started with the joy and happiness of the local authorities and people.
Dak Doat village is a border commune, population is scattered, the roads are difficult to travel. The whole village has 249 households with 864 people, of which 100% of them are Gie Trieng ethnic; mainly living by farming, often living far from home, sleeping in the forest; the vast majority are poor and disadvantaged households.
Nearly 10km away from the main school, Dak Doat kindergarten has 50 students with 02 teachers. Currently, the school is borrowing the Rong house of the village for teaching and suffering from lack of tables and chairs, learning and teaching equipment.
Schools condition.
After a survey trip and working with the school and local authorities, SEN Charity decided to sponsor and support the locality to build a new kindergarten school in Dak Doat Village with the hope that from the school year 2023 – 2024 onwards, children will be able to study and play at a beautiful and convenient school. The new school site consists of 2 classrooms and 01 restroom with a construction area of nearly 200m2, especially the main highlight in the design is to retain the Rong culture of the Gie Trieng people, combining modernity but still preserving the traditional features of the indigenous people. The project is expected to be completed and put into use in September 2023 to welcome the new school year 2023-2024.
