Located on the western edge of the Northwest region of Vietnam, Dien Bien province’s topography is complex, with mainly steep, rugged, and strongly dissected hills with hot summers, heavy rains and erratic weather.
Muong Ang district located in the east of Dien Bien province is a district with poor living conditions. Huoi Hao is one of the most difficult schools in Ang To Commune, Muong Ang District. The school has 66 students, including 43 kindergarten kids, 23 primary school students and 3 teachers. Built 15 years ago with thin sheets of corrugated iron, the school looks like a container in hot weather. Students have to study in corrugated iron classrooms and because there is no electricity, the classrooms are very hot on sunny days, they often suffer with the heat and noise. Furthermore, the traffic towards the village is very difficult, the road to the school is quite challenging with many steep and muddy passes.

Understanding the school’s difficulties, SEN charity cooperating with Joint Stock Commercial Bank For Foreign Trade Of Vietnam (Vietcombank), representing by IT department and Retail Banking Operation Management Center department, have decided to sponsor a new school for local children, local people and teachers. On 07/07/2023, the groundbreaking ceremony was held warmly with the attendance of lovely kids and teachers, local authorities.

At the groundbreaking ceremony, Ang To Commune representative expressed gratitude to SEN Charity and Vietcombank who have contributed to taking care of the educational development of the Ang To commune, creating favorable conditions for local children to study in spacious new schools.

The newly constructed classroom at the Huoi Hao School has a profound human significance, attracting the consensus of all levels of government and society in connecting and calling for donors and investors to invest in local education development, creating sufficient conditions for learning and teaching. After completing, the school will have 02 classrooms for kindergarten children, 01 classrooms for elementary and the other necessary infrastructure.

It is predicted that, the project will be completed and put into use in the first week of September, helping Huoi Hao children have a spacious, clean and beautiful school, contributing to improving the quality of teaching and learning, and at the same time connecting volunteer hearts to local disadvantaged children.
“Happiness… consists in giving, and in serving others. Give love, happiness will come by itself”. Hope that the new school will contribute to the development of education in Ang To commune in particular and Muong Ang district in general.
