School number 18: Groundbreaking Ceremony of Nam Luc Kindergarten and Primary School, Sin Ho, Lai Chau.

New Design Concepts for Nam Luc Kindergarten and Primary Schools.
Staying true to our commitment to promote educational development in disadvantaged areas, the School for All 2024 project in Lai Chau is the next destination for the SEN Charity in our journey to provide a safe and sturdy learning environment for children in this challenging region.
The flood season in Lai Chau typically takes place annually from May to September, characterized by intense rainfall, flash floods, and catastrophic, widespread landslides. Meanwhile, Nam Luc school is in a dilapidated condition, with a makeshift tin roof and classrooms assembled from plywood, making it susceptible to dampness and mold during the rainy season, which affects the health and learning quality of the students.

The old school is in a dilapidated condition, thereby posing danger to the students and teachers.
Acknowledging the urgency to address safety concerns in education along with the aspirations of local residents for a safe, clean and beautiful school for their children, we conducted a survey and decided to implement this project.
On July 1, 2024, the Groundbreaking ceremony for School number 18: Nam Luc Kindergarten and Primary School was held successfully following extensive preparatory efforts.

SEN Charity, local people and teachers at Nam Luc Kindergarten and Primary School performed the groundbreaking ceremony.
This new school will be constructed within the covering a total area of 728.3 square meters, including three classrooms, one of which is fully equipped to meet the needs of preschool education, providing children with conditions for comprehensive physical, mental, intellectual, and aesthetic development.
Additionally, there are ancillary facilities such as a teachers’ lounge, kitchen, and restrooms. The schoolyard will be planted with more trees and flowers, making the school environment green and vibrant, filled with natural scenery, creating a safe and enjoyable environment for learning, living, and playing.

Construction materials were transported to the school at the same day.
The harsh weather conditions in Lai Chau are currently one of the major obstacles for the project. However, we believe that the unity, solidarity, and community spirit of those who dedicate to securing the best future for the children in Lai Chau will overcome all difficulties to complete the project on schedule, just in time to welcome the students for the new 2024-2025 school year.
